A Chinese died after not sleeping some nights to watch the Euro matches

BEIJING | A young man of 26 from the Chinese city of Changsha died after having stayed up several nights to see all matches played in the 2012 European Championship. Site sina.com reports that Xiaoshan Jiang, France and England national team fan, died on Tuesday, June 19, after he watched with some friends in a pub the match between Italy and Ireland.

After the meeting, Jiang returned home and got to sleep at 5 am, but never woke up. According to sources, the lack of sleep, alcohol and tobacco have weakened his immune system, this being fatal to him. The news surprised the relatives, who said that Jiang led a normal life and even played football until some time ago, at the university team.

In China, because of the hours of broadcasting, the tournament is difficult to follow, most fans having parties at night. At the World Cup in Africa two years ago, or that of Germany in 2006 there were problems, many Chinese football fans suffering because of the hours to which the disputed matches were televized.
