BUCHAREST | Adrian Nastase was released on Tuesday evening from the Floreasca Hospital, where police have arrived for the necessary formalities to implement the mandate of execution of sentence, said judicial sources. The ex-PM tried to commit suicide, but some say that the attempt was just faked to save him from inprisonment. Nastase was just moved to the Rahova penitentiary minutes ago by the DNA (National Anti-Corruption Department) workers and the police.
Doctor Bradisteanu Serban, the one responsible for the Nastase case was today put under investigation for promoting the offender. DNA is investigated him for his diagnosis which would have prevented the implementation of punishment for the ex-PM. Bucharest Court decided today that the mandate for Adrian Nastase can be implemented so that the former premier would be imprisoned. However, a Board of Forensics Specialists decided that the former Prime Minister supports the imprisonment.
