Romanians sentenced to prison for stealing from the mother of the French Minister of Interior

PARIS | Four Romanians, two couples were sentenced on Monday night in Paris to imprisonment for theft and misuse, in May, on the  French Interior Minister Manuel Valls mother’s credit card, Le Parisien reports in the electronic edition.

It all started on May 14 when the minister mother, aged 68, was shopping at a Monoprix store in Arrondissement IV. She has not seen the two Romanian women, aged 20 and 25, who looked over her shoulder when she introduced the pin code. Shortly thereafter, Gabi-Ionel Petcu, aged 24, has quietly introduced its hand in her purse and stole the credit card.

They stole from the mother of the French police chief without knowing, the French daily commented. Withdrawals and fraudulent purchases started immediately. In total, the fraudulent card was withdrawn about 3000 Euros. But the four have used the card to pay for the use of bicycles at a Velib ‘, which gave him away. Alerted by the bank, Mrs. Valls, just before his son’s naming, intervened and blocked the card.
