Google changed its logo on Thursday to honor Romanian conductor Sergiu Celibidache, whose birth we celebrate one hundred years. Thus, Romanian conductor famous silhouette is superimposed on the first letter of the word “Google” and other letters are presented as musical instruments used in classical music orchestras: trombone, drums, violin, flute and percussion discs.
Sergiu Celibidache, born June 28, 1912 in the city of Roman,Neamt county, was a conductor and composer, honorary member of the Romanian Academy. The Romanian musician died at the age of 84 years on August 14, 1996 in Neuville-sur-Essonne city in France. Google frequently changes its logo to mark major events of world history or famous figures.
