Illegal gambling network dismantled in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR | Malaysian police runned one hundred arrests and dismantled an international network of illegal gambling which would be counted more than 15 million games in the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine. Among those surveyed there are two citizens of Singapore and two of Indonesia.

Police launched 150 raids across the country with the help of informations from China, Hong Kong and Singapore, the Malaysian police chief Bakri Zinin said. Betting is an illegal activity in Malaysia, except those performed in Genting Highlands resort, country’s only casino, located near the capital of Kuala Lumpur.
