BUCHAREST | Adrian Nastase has been transferred from Rahova prison hospital to Jilava prison hospital because of his chronic medical conditions suffered by being housed in the Department of Internal Medicine, with another person deprived of liberty, in a room equipped with six beds and bathroom.
The Prison Hospital spokesman at Jilava, Daniela Popescu, said that Adrian Nastase was admitted to the unit on July 17, by transfer from Bucharest Rahova Prison Hospital. “The transfer was made because of his chronic medical conditions he suffered by taking into account the recommendations of the medical specialists”, said Daniela Popescu.
Adrian Nastase is housed in the Department of Internal Medicine, with another person deprived of liberty, in a room equipped with six beds and bathroom, it said in a press release on Monday by the Jilava Prison Hospital in Bucharest. On June 20, Adrian Nastase was sentenced by the High Court of Cassation and Justice to two years imprisonment in the case “Quality Trophy” and has been charged in connection with fundraising for the 2004 electoral campaign when he ran for the Presidency of Romania.
