Greece leaving Eurozone back in discussion

ATHENS | The posibility of Greece leaving the euro area is actual in the beginning of the IMF mission, the EC and the ECB, if missing fiscal targets agreed by the Greek State will lead to blocking of external financing and bankruptcy. A mission from the European Commission, IMF and European Central Bank will arrive in Athens on Tuesday to determine how much Greece has deviated from the fiscal targets of the bailout agreement.

Assessment Mission, postponed from June due to political instability caused by parliamentary elections will take place in a tense atmosphere, characterized by mistrust that Greece will fulfill commitments and reluctance of governments in the euro area loans to supplement the country. “If Greece does not fulfill those conditions, it can no longer make payments”, said on Sunday to station ARD the German Vice Chancellor Philipp Roesler, also Minister of Economy, being “very skeptical” as that Greece could avoid bankruptcy.
