BUCHAREST | PDL (Democratic-Liberal Party) will hold a rally on Thursday at 18.00 in Revolution Square, in which it wishes to participate as many NGOs and citizens who want to prevent the annexation of state institutions by USL (Social Liberal Union), PDL’s first vice-president Cezar Preda announced.
Cezar Preda said, after a PDL meeting that the rally that the party will be holding in the Revolution Square to sign a petition “to save the law state” and democratic institutions. Preda said that it is the first action of the new PDL leadership, showing that the party wants to all Romanian citizens who want their work and the rule of law that will prevent “the annexation of state institutions” by USL and Victor Ponta join this event.
“We would like to as many NGOs to attend, as well as the civil society and that we all sign a petition to save the state of law”, said Cezar Preda. He said that the PDL organizations from outside Bucharest will come of, but also from the capital and from civic platforms, adding that PDL is expecting more than 3,000 demonstrators to attend.
